  • The Post Hotel was founded by Sir Norman Watson and built in 1942
  • It was built by 10 men, using mainly hand tools
  • It was originally called Ski Lodge, then changed in 1951 to Lake Louise Lodge, and then in 1957 to Post Hotel because there was a Post Office using space in the Hotel
  • It was redeveloped in 1986 and reopened in 1987
